Moy Castle stands at the head of Loch Buie on the Isle of Mull. Built in the 15th century by Hector MacLean, brother of MacLean of Duart and the founder of the re-named MacLaines of Lochbuie who made it their home.
The high horizon gave me the scope to develop the foreground, in this case the rocky sea-covered approach to the castle.
Actual painting dimensions: 12x12 inches.
